ARIS company and the Politecnico University in Torino, built and tested the ISWEC – Inertial Sea Wave Energy Converter, an innovative system for the exploitation of marine energy, with no moving parts in the water, easy to maintain, with low environmental impact and adaptable to different types of waves.

ISWEC is made of a floating structure moored to the seabed. A gyroscope, mounted inside the structure, converts the wave energy into electrical energy.

ARIS realized the scale model of the entire system. The Politecnico University in Torino carried out the tests and later the final model was built.
ARIS produced the gyro-generator groups called PROMO and REMOTE.
